Letts Industries was founded in 1915, when Charles Letts, Sr. delivered
forgings to Henry Ford.
Letts is a corporation engaged in metal part fabrication, warehousing,
distribution and capital equipment sales. Letts' divisions are organized
to function independently or cooperatively, depending on the customer's
needs. Letts operates four divisions in two groups, all of whom share
administrative functions. In the manufacturing group, Letts operates Powers
and Sons and Trek; the product services group includes the Pioneer Forge
Division and the Letts Equipment Division. The company is headquartered
in Detroit, Mich.
Our Philosophy
The strength of our organization comes from a unified philosophy based
on long term market satisfaction and expansion. Our growth is twofold;
expanding within each particular market and reaching out to related markets.
This philosophy enables us to incorporate our established capabilities,
as well as build upon them, in order to provide a more solid operations
base to draw upon.
The products and services of each of our subsidiaries are related in
one way or another. Thus we have a broader understanding of our customers'
needs than any single subsidiary could provide and are able to develop
more creative and effective solutions.
The Letts Industries Support Team provides sophisticated systems, financial,
human resources and strategic services at a level that could not be supported
by a single subsidiary.
